Dwarf Fortress Engineering 101: Screw Pumps, Pump Stacks & Mist Generators

How to use pumps and power generators, as well as construct pump stacks and mist generators in Dwarf Fortress.

Some things came up that slowed my progress on this so there are a few additional things I didn't include due to time constraints:
Due to Dwarf Fortress's liquid physics calculations, pumps and the like will impact your FPS. Normally it's not too bad but at some point after using the pump stack, my FPS was close to halved. It has maintained even after disabling all pumps and power generators so the timing is likely a coincidence and the cause is something else but do watch out.
Mist generators can be built without the statues and this has the benefit of also cleaning any dwarves who walk directly beneath it. However, if the tile of falling water exceeds 3/7, dwarves who attempt to pass through will repeatedly cancel and restart their path finding so I typically use a separate dedicated dwarf bathing system.
