Chhattisgarh Budget aims to give 'GATI' to development, says state Finance Minister OP Choudhary

Chhattisgarh's Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary recently presented the state's Budget for the fiscal year 2025-26, totaling Rs 1.65 lakh crore, aimed at economic revival and development. With a focus on the theme "GATI" (Good Governance, Accelerating Infrastructure, Technology, and Industrial Growth), the budget seeks to enhance economic growth and social welfare without increasing taxes. Key initiatives include investments in infrastructure, industrial development, and regional connectivity to attract both public and private investments. Choudhary highlighted the government's efforts in empowering women, farmers, and rural communities, with significant allocations for welfare schemes. The budget also includes plans for eco-tourism, food processing, and tribal development, aiming for balanced growth. Notably, Choudhary personally handwritten the 100-page budget document, symbolising his commitment and transparency in governance.
