New Artist Talk with sound artist and Turner-Prize winner Susan Philipsz. Her work "Seven Tears" is currently on display at the museum. Get to know her in conversation with Thomas D. Trummer, Director Kunsthaus Bregenz.

Susan Philipsz explores the sculptural qualities of sound, generally in response to a particular space or environment. Her sound installation "Seven Tears" is one of the Beyeler collection’s latest acquisitions and is currently on show as part of the exhibition "The Lion is Hungry."
Artist Talks is a program organized by the Fondation Beyeler and UBS in which internationally renowned contemporary artists speak about their work.

Für die neueste Ausgabe unserer Artist Talks bittet Thomas Trummer, Direktor am Kunsthaus Bregenz, Susan Philipsz (*1965) zum Gespräch in die Fondation Beyeler. Die schottische Künstlerin erforscht die skulpturalen Qualitäten von Klang, zumeist als Reaktion auf einen bestimmten Raum oder eine bestimmte Umgebung. Ihre Sound-Installation Seven Tears ist eine der jüngsten Neuerwerbungen in der Sammlung der Fondation Beyeler und aktuell als Teil der Ausstellung "Der Löwe hat Hunger" ausgestellt.
Artist Talks ist ein Programm der Fondation Beyeler und von UBS, innerhalb dessen international renommierte, zeitgenössische Künstler über ihre Arbeit sprechen.
