Roman artefact in the City, London, UK
This old piece of timber was found along the River Thames during construction work and at one time formed part of a Roman wharf along the riverbank. It somehow found its way to underneath the portico of this church, St. Magnus the Martyr, in the City, one block south of the Monument to the Great Fire of London.
