Topic Introduction:-
Working in a startup or an MNC comes with its own set of advantages and drawbacks. Based on what are your priorities and your working style the answer differs for every individual.
To sum it up here are some upsides and downsides to both working in an MNC or a Startup. If you go on to make a list of things that apply to you and prioritise the points you may end up coming to a conclusion for your ownself.
Upsides
1. Workload
MNC - As in an MNC the job is divided into large teams the workload is very less. You need to execute just the defined task for you. There are not many surprises that spring up while working in an MNC.

Startup - For a startup, there are very less people executing a number of tasks. The workload is very large. You may be needed to execute a lot of tasks not just in your domain but in different domains too.

2. Growth
MNC - Growth is slow in an MNC. You get less opportunities to shine in a huge organisation also the bureaucratic structure makes it difficult to achieve success.
Startup - Undoubtedly the growth is exponential in a startup. A startup gives you a chance to achieve heights which can never be achieved in an MNC.
3. Stability
MNC - Job stability is rock solid in an MNC. You can plan for a steady future in an MNC but not exponential growth.
Startup - Startups are very fragile. You may never know when the startup shoots up and becomes a star or when it shuts down. So stability can never be acquired in the initial years of a startup.

4. Pay
MNC - MNC’s do not pay huge amounts of money until and unless you are either going for big shot position or your position is extremely critical.
Startup - In a recent trend in startups, the pay has been very very promising. With different rounds of funding fueling startups, they believe in paying their employees handsomely to keep them motivated and to build rapidly.
