The first stage of the project is being built by Dubai Rapid Link (DURL) consortium consisting of Japanese companies such as Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi Corporation, Obayashi Corporation, Kajima Corporation and Turkish company Yapi Merkezi. The Dubai Metro is operated by Dubai Road and UAE transport agencies. [1] In 2009, the construction of the first stage of the project was completed. The metropolitan here was built earlier than in the capital of the UAE - the city of Abu Dhabi (where it is only planned).
