Lemonade: The Lessons Behind Heartbreak's Most Compelling Album (video essay)

I didn't grow up a Beyonce fan. I knew of her, I knew she was a huge influence, and I just kinda assumed she was another popular artist who didn't bring much to the table besides that. Lemonade proved me wrong in one of the most profoundly intimate and vulnerable narratives I've had the pleasure of discussing on my channel.

This video seeks to understand Beyonce's story in context with our own lives, and how we can take her attitude and apply it to making something better for ourselves in the future... we may be served lemons, but we can choose to make lemonade :)

I am a Christian and student and I made this channel when I was in high school. I started this channel because I love talking about music (specifically hip hop) and given that the genre seems to be going downhill, I want to be part of the community that preserves the expectation of great music and dissecting what makes a beautiful record. Dealing with a lack of friends to discuss these matters with, I hoped to start my own community that loves music just as I do, as well as to provide a unique perspective as a follower of Christ that also appreciates this community.
