Where is Maiori?
Maiori is located on the Amalfi Coast when arriving from Naples, and it's about a 60-minute drive from Naples and about 30 minutes from Capri by ferry. After Maiori, the next towns are Minori, Ravello, and Amalfi.

You can reach Maiori by bus from Naples or Salerno. There are also ferries in the summer from Naples and Capri.

Maiori, a town nestled on the coast of the Amalfi Coast, by the sea. It is absolutely breathtaking to see these golden sands meeting the turquoise waters, surrounded by lush vegetation and olive trees.

During your walk on the beach, your steps may take you down a sloping lane and at the end you see the sea, and just like many visitors, you will have the impression that the lane falls into the sea, it’s really surprising! Visiting the beach requires some effort and good shoes, because it is made up of numerous stairs or steps that cross the streets.

Despite these challenges, Maiori has a charm of its own and proof of this is because the island, in summer, is crowded with tourists and artists have made it their place of creation.

Maiori, thanks to its port, was a flourishing island in the 16th and 17th centuries, then the inhabitants deserted this region to go to the United States to experience a better life. The island lived only from its fishing then tourists arrived in the middle of the 20th century and since then it has drawn its main wealth from tourism because its coast is one of the most beautiful in the North Aegean. Faced with the influx of rich tourists, luxury boutiques are set up on the street and the island is experiencing a surge in prices which does not make the inhabitants happy.

Maiori is not just about natural beauty and historical sites, it also offers a vibrant nightlife. As the sun sets, the island transforms into a lively hub with something for everyone.
