Butterfly leaf extending Oak dining table

This is a waney edge dining table, designed and made for a client in Henley on Thames.
I selected the Oak for the amazing white stripes that are exhibited through the table top. The boards are also quarter sawn, so have some fantastic medullary rays (figure). You can make out the through tenons of the rails in the legs, these also have brown oak wedges as a detail. The locating pins of the table leaves are also brown oak. The centre leaf pivots on brass rod, and I have used soss hinges for the centre leaf. Finished using treatex hard wax oil.
