R129 Mercedes - Fix Slow Power Windows

This video shows how I lubricated the power window mechanism for my R129 SL Series and made the power windows go up and down faster. It's a two-part fix. The first part is easier, whereas the second part first requires the removal of the door panel (see my other video on how to remove the door panel shown in my video list or click the link below for easy access).

The video's first part is about lubricating the upper door window channels and the second part involves lubricating the channels behind the door panel. Doing both is the most optimal.

All steps are shown. I don't leave any step out or gloss over anything!

Materials required: Silicone grease, silicone grease spray, synthetic grease, molding tape, tuck tape.

The car shown is a 1992 Mercedes-Benz 300SL, but this video applies to all SL series R129s pre-1995, including the 500SL and 600SL. Owners of newer model R129s will also find this video very useful.
