Satisfying humanity’s ever-growing need for food, shelter and other resources often comes at a high price – the destruction and fragmentation of vital ecosystems. This results in the dramatic loss of forest area, food sources and breeding grounds, endangering the survival of various species and exacerbating climate change. But human action may also be the key to any durable solutions.
