FREE KHALIL AWAWDEH! FREE PALESTINE! FREE ALL PALESTINIAN PRISONERS! — On Monday, August 29th, 2022, "hundreds of people mobilized in NYC to demand freedom for Palestinian political prisoner Khalil Awawdeh on his 180th day on hunger strike in protest of his indefinite detention without charg or trial," said the organization Within our Lifetime (WOL) on their social networks.

WOL added, "Chanting “Free Khalil! Free Them All! Zionism must fall!,” we uplifted the resistance of our hunger strikers, our political prisoners, our freedom fighters and honored the memory of our martyrs."

"In a video message recorded yesterday, Khalil declared, “Oh, free people of the world, this suffering body, of which nothing remains but skin and bones, does not reflect a weakness and vulnerability of the Palestinian people, but rather is a mirror reflecting the true face of the occupation, which claims to be a ‘democratic state’, at a time when it holds a prisoner without any charges in the brutal administrative detention, saying with his body and his blood: No to administrative detention! No to administrative detention!”," said WOL.

WOL also added, "Now on his 181st day on strike, Khalil could die at any moment. Within Our Lifetime urges all those who stand with Palestine to join the global campaign to #FreeKhalil and take action wherever you are to uplift his struggle and demand his immediate release and freedom for all Palestinian political prisoners."
