Protect your parents from hackers by revoking their administrative privileges!

If you have older parents or grandparents who are still online and doing computer stuff, you can help protect them by demoting their administrative user to a standard user. In this case, it was a gentleman with dementia and he’s an avid computer user but he would’ve never been able to allow the bad guys on his computer if his admin privileges have been taken away. The bad guys have an answer for everything and they’re incredibly manipulative so older senior citizens are a specially vulnerable. On a Mac all you need to do is use your parents or grandparents. Admin user to create a new user for yourself that is also an admin user.  Then log out of their user and log into your new admin user and then take away their administrative privileges and make them a standard user. Doing so I will prevent them from installing any remote desktop software, which is pretty much the way most people are getting hacked these days. Plus, it’ll prevent them from installing just standard malware.
