When the Federal Budget was released earlier this month, the government also announced new changes to Australian partner visas, the biggest change being the addition of an English language requirement for sponsors and applicants. This requirement is set to be implemented in late 2021.

There will also be an extra sponsorship fee involved when lodging a partner visa application.
