When Life Gives You Travel & Leisure Magazines

Happy Spring Equinox!
By now you should have gotten a hand-made valentine with a cut-out of a magazine. Please know that each one was picked with you in mind so they are all custom-made and sent with love and intention.
Early last year (before the stay-at-home orders) my sister bought me a subscription to Travel and Leisure. For a while the magazines piled up because I couldn't dare to open them. I've always been fond of collaging as a way to sometimes escape and other times, to simply imagine futures that didn't exist in my life.
Around that time I started filming myself doing random activities. I thought, hey this is a monumental, historic time. Maybe I should keep a video diary of what's going on in my life. All of these things compiled and I started looking back at them. Looking at the changes that I made throughout my days, my routines, my habits, really holding myself accountable by recording these things and being honest with myself.
I looked up one day and I saw a collage that I had made when I was auditioning and applying to graduate programs didn't resonated with my life anymore. So earlier this year (2021) I took out those Travel and Leisure Magazines and I opened them. I started making a collage for...this Spring? This year? Or maybe this quarter, this moment. And I'm really excited to share that with you. I hope that in this moment, wherever you are, whatever is happening in your life, you take some time to look around you and know that everything is changing. Spring is a really great reminder of that. Thank you so much for your support, for your love, and for the opportunity to come together virtually and hold space.
