Episode Notes:

1. Captured via the Mega SG.

2. It was hard playing the game to show you different magics, deaths, and the different attacks of certain enemies. I tend to be real aggressive in my personal play time, and tend to play quite a bit different for myself.

3. I used the easy play setting for this video so I had plenty of lives. I knew I was going to be playing it like a first timer and using ninjitsu in places I normally wouldn't, so I wanted as many lives as possible.

4. Most of the hardest parts of this game rarely have anything to do with the enemies, but its vicious stage design. Some areas will rob newbies of many, many lives.

5. Some consider this the best Shinobi game ever. I still prefer the music of Revenge, personally.

6. I have beaten this game more times than any other game on the Genesis except maybe Streets of Rage or Revenge of Shinobi. I would just loop it back to back to back as a teen.

7. There are actually a few different betas out there of this game. One is super early and has different areas. Another is similar but has different design elements changed. They are worth messing around with just for curiosity's sake.

8. Your biggest irritation here can be missed double jumps. Practice them. get them down. They will save your ass on that final stage.

9. There is a cheat code for unlimited shurikens that can really help you if you are new to the series. Use it until you get better. There are a few other cheats you can mess around with as well.

10. Don't ever let anyone tell you that you are playing a game wrong. Play it the way you want to. It's your time and effort, not theirs. The dumb stuff I do in games just to challenge myself or make things feel different goes to the extreme sometimes. You can't play 20 and 40 year old games the same damn way every time.
