Corsair HS70 Pro - are they worth it?
£100 is a lot of money to splash out on anything and in the PC gaming headphone market there is a lot to choose from especially in the £70-£100 region.

So what do you get from spending this much money? Well first of all you get amazing audio from those tuned 50mm units, the bass is quite heavy on these and due to the physical size they can create a little more pressure than smaller drivers, also the size can allow a more open sound stage and separation.

For games and movies these are brilliant and even a good film can be watchable with great audio. Gamers will also appreciate the PCs virtual 7.1 audio to tell you where your enemies are before you actually see them.
Listening to 8D (or higher) audio really is quite breath taking.

For the money you also get wireless freedom, which for some is worth the money alone, although this comes at a slight downside as these are wireless only, no 3.5mm jacks or USB wired options, so loose the dongle and you are really up a certain creek.

The mic is perfectly useable and has Discord certification so you know these are going to just work in Discord comms.
For me the audio seems a little over-sharpened in voice which is great for clarity in games, but for skype or business use these are not going to sound very natural, but i guess that is the emphasis on these cans.

so gamers and movie watchers rejoice in your wireless freedom and enjoy a bass heavy sound profile, just maybe don't use them at work?
