DAY 4 · Stop Mistaking Their Mood for Your Truth
Empaths — not every feeling you feel belongs to you.
This is one of the most disorienting things about being an empath: you walk into a room feeling fine, and five minutes later you're sad, anxious, or irritable — and you don't know why.
Here's why: you absorbed someone else's emotional state. Research on mirror neurons shows we are literally wired to feel what others feel.
The problem is when you can't tell the difference between your emotions and theirs. That confusion costs you energy, decisions, even your sense of self.
Awareness means learning to ask: "Did I bring this feeling in, or did I pick it up here?"
Think of your last difficult interaction. How did you feel before it? How did you feel after it? Notice the gap.
That gap is information. Practice asking: "Is this mine?" — and be willing to let it go if it isn't.
Comment ‘MINE’ if you’re learning to separate your emotions from other people’s.
