🌟 Reflection of Light Explained in Easy Way | Class 10 Physics#a1successacademy

Reflection of Light | Class 10 Physics 🌟

Reflection of light is the bouncing back of light rays after striking a smooth surface like a mirror. When light falls on a mirror, it returns into the same medium — this process is called Reflection of Light.

✨ Important Terms:

Incident Ray → The light ray that falls on the surface.

Reflected Ray → The light ray that bounces back.

Normal → An imaginary line drawn perpendicular to the surface.

Angle of Incidence (∠i) → Angle between incident ray and normal.

Angle of Reflection (∠r) → Angle between reflected ray and normal.

📘 Laws of Reflection:

The incident ray, reflected ray, and normal lie in the same plane.

The angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection.

🔍 Types of Reflection:

Regular Reflection → Occurs on smooth surfaces and forms clear images.

Diffused Reflection → Occurs on rough surfaces and scatters light in different directions.

🪞 Real Life Examples:

Seeing your image in a mirror

Reflection in calm water

Vehicle rear-view mirrors

Periscopes and kaleidoscopes

🎯 Conclusion:

Reflection helps us see objects around us and is used in many optical devices. Understanding reflection is the base of optics in physics.
