In this video I Ankur Choudhary describe and provide information about laminated wooden flooring installation and pricing
Installation Steps:
1)Prepare the Room:
Remove existing flooring, baseboards, and any obstacles.
Ensure that the subfloor is clean, dry, level, and free from any debris.
2) Install Underlayment:
Roll out the underlayment over the subfloor. Trim the excess using a utility knife .If required, add a vapor barrier on top of the underlayment.
3) Acclimate the Flooring:
Allow the laminate flooring to acclimate to the room's temperature and humidity for at least 48 hours.
4) Start with a Reference Line:
Find the longest wall in the room and measure and mark the center.
Create a reference line perpendicular to this centerline to guide your first row of planks.
5) Install the First Row:
Lay the first row of planks with the tongue side facing the centerline.
Use spacers to maintain an expansion gap between the planks and the walls (usually around 1/4 inch).
6)Cut the Last Plank in the First Row:
Measure and cut the last plank to fit using a circular saw or jigsaw.
Make sure it leaves a gap for expansion.
7)Install the Second Row and Subsequent Rows:
Start the second row with the cut-off piece from the first row to stagger the seams. Connect the planks by angling the tongue of one plank into the groove of the previous one. Use a tapping block and rubber mallet to ensure a snug fit.
8) Continue Installation:
Continue installing subsequent rows, ensuring that the end joints are staggered for a more stable and attractive look.
9) Cut Around Obstacles: Use a jigsaw or a coping saw to cut planks to fit around door frames or other obstacles.
10) Install the Final Row:
Measure and cut the final row to fit, leaving the same expansion gap.
11) Install Baseboards and Trim:
Reinstall or install new baseboards and trim to cover the expansion gap and give a finished look.
12) Clean Up:
Remove any spacers, clean the floor, and dispose of waste materials.
