IFR RNAV Approach to Near Minimums - TakingOff Ep 88
(Filmed before Covid-19) Note: not meant as instructional. This is highly edited and things such as weather and plate briefings have already been done. Dan Millican @SFilmsTakingOff and Hannah Bradshaw @H_Brads_Film, along with Alicia Pascual in the back @TheAmp10 are flying to a film shoot in Arkansas and shoot an RNAV approach in IMC. They are flying in a Cessna 210, equipped with a Garmin 430, and an Aspen PFD 1000.
It's amazing to fly cross country in full sun and then descend into darkness of IMC, to pop out a few hundred feet above minimums, with the runway ahead. It can be a great feeling (mirrored by the feeling of shooting an approach and not finding the field and having to go missed).
