Karl Sanders (NILE)—Why Drop A? Why Cubase? Are Amp Simulators Good Enough? New Saurian Solo Album?

Today, Karl Sanders of the technical death metal band NILE sits down with me to talk about all manners of things!

We'll talk about the final consensus of the latest NILE record, Vile Nilotic Rites, why Karl switched from Cakewalk Sonar to Steinberg Cubase, as well as his favorite instrument library. We'll also be treated to practically an arrangement tutorial in Cubase and why Karl loves the arranger track so much.

Karl also touches on the topic of amp simulators for metal and how fast the technology is improving.

Of course, what is an interview without a few stories? Karl shares quite a few of them—not to mention, his newest high score in Call of Duty.
