The Speedtail is not fully street-legal in the United States because its camera-based mirrors and lack of side-mounted airbags do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. U.S. owners typically import them under the "Show or Display" exemption, which limits driving to 2,500 miles per year.
