In the Voronezh and Lipetsk regions, a large hail fell accompanied by a storm, many cars were damaged by hail, local residents said.
The footage shows that the hail also caused flooding.
Meteorologists did not warn citizens and rescuers about possible bad weather, representatives of the region's emergency services said.
For now, people are being asked not to leave their homes unless absolutely necessary.
Some people save their cars by taking sleeping mattresses out of the house and covering the cars with them. Blankets are also included.
The police were approached by at least five local residents with a report of damage to cars after the hail, according to the operational duty officer of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
