There are two streams of 186 visas.

Let’s first talk about the Employer Sponsored Direct Entry 186 Visa✊. Once this is granted, you will be a permanent resident of Australia. 🇦🇺

Firstly, you will need to be employed and sponsored by an eligible business.

You need to have a valid skills assessment in an occupation on the medium to long term occupation list.

You will need to have a relevant qualification plus 3 years full-time post qualification work experience.

For some occupations, work experience can be used in lieu of formal qualifications. However, as a valid skills assessment is required, you will need to check whether the skills assessing body requires a formal
qualification.

You need to be under 45 years of age, and have at least competent English. You can add your dependants to the application.
