We review the i5 11400 vs Ryzen 5 3600 for performance, and the i5 11400 vs Ryzen 5 5600X for high end performance. We also take a look at the best B560 motherboards for i5 11400. We review whether you want to disable the motherboard power limits, and what impact that has on overall gaming FPS performance and productivity performance.

We also review the stock intel cooler performance and find that you definitely want to purchase an aftermarket budget cooler to get the most performance out of your i5 11400 in both gaming and productivity. Overall we find that the i5 11400 performs similarly to the i5 10400 in gaming, but is much better in overall productivity which was a weakness of the i5 10400 vs Ryzen 5 3600.

Is the Ryzen 3600 the best budget gaming CPU, or is the i5 11400 the best budget gaming CPU? In the end it comes down to features, as performance is likely going to be similar.
