At the Anthony Vaccarello show, last season's sliver metal eyelet embellishments morphed into demilune silver balls. The three dimensional graphic effect was a strong one, and it would have to be to compete with the equally intense silhouettes of the show.

"I wanted to explore the idea of wearing a bathing suit like a uniform," explained Vaccarello after the show.

Swimsuits as daywear, well it has been done before. Who hasn't at one time or another used a swimsuit as a body suit while on a summer holiday. But this was not that type of "summer vacation" collection.
