The brand name of this one is GoldenLipper, but honestly I think there are many of the same infrared thermometers packaged under different names. This particular one was purchased at Walmart, but there is a good chance that if you have one that looks similar, some of the functions and settings will be the same.

The bad news about this particular infrared thermometer is that it gets bad reviews BECAUSE no one can figure out how to get it off Celsius to Fahrenheit, however, it's super easy (just not included with the directions so it's kind of a major LAME-O move by the manufacturer.)
However, my hubby - the veterinarian - figured it out in one try (thank goodness because I was ready to throw it out the window!) SO, I'm sharing this video in hopes of helping those of you who are in the same situation. This step by step video on how to change the settings from Celsius to Fahrenheit will hopefully help you get your thermometer in working order quickly.
I searched for a how-to video myself and couldn't find one - I was so frustrated, lol ... but once we got it moved to Fahrenheit (literally takes 2 button clicks and a few seconds) it's a very nice little thermometer that seems to work great.
