There's the type of guys that feel the need for speed, whether it's in their race cars on the weekends or even in their daily drivers. Dave Kelsch is one of those guys and when he isn't racing his '16 Impact Blue Factory Cobra Jet Mustang Drag Race Car https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rVZt4YY6lA he takes to the track in his daily driven '21 Deep Blue Metallic Tesla Model S Plaid. Comparing the two powertrains although completely different in technology, both result in some fast elapsed times. The Tesla Plaid is powered by 3 high performance electric motors with carbon sleeved rotors resulting in 1020 hp and 1050lb ft of torque in combined output and a single speed fixed gear with torque vectoring. The Mustang is powered by a supercharged factory Coyote 5.0 liter V8 putting out 1000hp with a 3 speed automatic trans. Dave consistently runs 8.50's @ 155mph in the Mustang and this being his first time out in the Tesla it ran a best of 9.48@ 146mph. It's comparing apples to oranges but still it's very interesting considering all the differences.
