This is an independent microphone shoot out to compare the sound of popular dynamic microphones. This shoot out is far from "scientific", it just wants to give a quick and fair impression of the character of each dynamic mic.
To be able to focus better on the sound, the singer avoided singing plosives ("pop" sounds) directly into microphone.

The gain has been adjusted to compensate for the varying microphone output, hence the use of the sE Electronics DM1 Dynamite inline microphone preamp, which is - simply put - an amazing tool with an unrivaled performance!

The signal chain was:

dynamic mic → sE Electronics DM1 inline mic preamp → Liquid 4 Pre "Flat" Setting → Antelope Orion (digital in) → Logic Pro X
