Alexander Kluge talks about his mentor, Fritz Lang (Media Funhouse)
The "godfather of the New German Cinema" speaks about working with the great Fritz Lang on THE TIGER OF ESCHNAPUR (1959). He also talks about his love of silent cinema and the inadequacies of German producers of the Fifties and early Sixties. This interview was conducted at the Anthology Film Archives one dark evening during a retrospective of Kluge's work. It aired on the cult Manhattan access show Media Funhouse; more information on the show can be found at our site, mediafunhouse.com, and the show's blog, mediafunhouse.blogspot.com
