"I did some tests. The Heat generated by everything except campfires and forges dissipates after 25-40 in game minutes.

Shorter game days (20-50 real life minutes per game day) therefore actually benefit from a lower heatmap affect. Longer days (60+) suffer from it.

Upgrading frames and base parts raises heat by 0.05 for 50 minutes. This is 0.05 for every swing, therefore stone axes generate more heat overall than wrenches and claw hammers the least when upgrading walls. Nailguns doing upgrades..."
