Sun and Guns: Pastoralists battle drought and insecurity in Tiaty

The people of Tiaty Sub - county in Baringo, like many pastoralists are battling the ravages of drought. It's a battle to keep their livestock alive and by extension ensure their own survival.

Resources are melting away under the scorching sun and with insecurity limiting their mobility, all they are left to do is pray and hope.

Tiaty or East Pokot is a dry stretch of land East of Baringo county. It covers all that land from Marigat all the way past Kapedo to the border of Baringo and Turkana counties.
