Happy Birthday Freddie Mercury - Queen Bohemian Rhapsody Public Piano Cover | Cole Lam 14 Years Old

5th September 2021 would have been Freddie Mercury's 75th Birthday. The legendary front man of the legendary band Queen. This was record a couple of weeks ago and I was not planning to play this, but a lady was speaking to my dad and told him that she had watched me all through the pandemic. It was for her a release and escape from the lockdown and she really enjoyed what I was doing, especially my playing at John Lewis when they put out a Yamaha grand piano as part of their Christmas campaign with Elton John.

You will see that so many things have changed from that first video - the tempo, the feel. I had not watched the movie yet and watching it had helped a lot, as well as just growing up some as well. I think I can "connect" more with the music and lyrics and I play how it feels not just the notes or the music. The bit that gets me are the lines at the end. I did not realise I nod to the those words until now!

Also, isn't it funny how life repeats? It's almost like we're in The Matrix! I am in an Arsenal top playing Bohemian Rhapsody at the Elton John piano and there's a boy wearing a Captain America top watching me! Just like the last time, but I am older, and he is younger!
