Morocco souk shopping with an American and two Slovenians. We shop for handmade Moroccan bags, avocados, raspberries, strawberries, and potatoes in Morocco. Sweet potatoes and regular potatoes are Thanksgiving staples. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving in America. We will be celebrating with a turkey, or dinde here in Morocco. The souk of Aourir was exceptionally colorful today. The slight clouds in the sky let us know that the rain is coming. Sugar cane juice, nougat, and other Moroccan specialties are at the souk today. There was even a balloon man. We run into old friend Yazid of Salt House Morocco, a surf camp in Tamraght, who is doing his weekly souk shopping in Aourir, Morocco. Outside of Agadir, the beaches are closed, but the souk is open for business. Get your tomatoes, potatoes, or whatever else grows in your Moroccan market weekly fix.
