How to REMOVE Motorcycle VISOR Scratches | Yamaha FZ6 Visor Restoration
IMPORTANT: All steps mentioned in the video are applicable for helmet visor too.
Hello guys and welcome to the new video.
Today we are restoring the visor of my friends Yamaha FZ6,
It is a very simple and rewarding DIY you can tackle in your garage.
This process has 3 simple steps:
1. Wet sanding with 2000 and 3000 grit, have in mind that if your bike has deeper scratches and groves you must start with a grit around 1000 and work your way up to 3000 (1000,1200,1500,2000,3000).
2. The polishing stage is again very simple and you don need a polishing machine like you see in the video battery drill and the foam pad will do just fine.
And there is no danger to your visor just put polish compound and hit it until you see the shine.
3, In the last stage, is the protection I have used some carnauba wax, but ceramic coating would be the best choice because motorcycle visor is very prone to light scratches, the material from which is made is very soft.
And that is it very simple.
I hope you find this video helpful, and if you have any questions please leave it in the comment section and I will answer each and every one of you.
