Making Sodium Metal (GONE WRONG)

Today I off a way to make sodium. This method uses magnesium and sodium hydroxide. The magnesium and sodium hydroxide undergo a similar reaction to thermite (not exactly) and the product is a sodium magnesium mixture. Note that in my opinion, this is not the best way of making sodium, since the sodium is not pure, but it is a very easy way. Later I will attempt to purify the sodium and use it for future experiments. Also, I did technically fail in this video, but this method does work and I will put out a video where I did succeed. This method is also pretty safe as long as you stay away from the reaction. Stay safe people.
