Welcome to this video. I’m Tom Nuyens from the Alive Academy.comAfter having build up very low self esteem after having been laughed at for having been very skinny when I was 12, I actually started to believe the lies that I was unworthy, that I was lonely, that I was incapable of living a satisfying life, that no one would really truly love me for who I am.
Then I tried everything to stop believing those lies about myself, by creating success, by trying to find the perfect partner, house, car, job etc etc.
Eventually after having created world success when I was 19, my whole world collapsed: because underneath that successful mask, I still felt unworthy, lonely, incapable of living a satisfying life with the remaining believe that no-one would ever truly love me for who I am.
So I got burned out and got a depression.

Do you know why? Because I was believing lies about me, that prevented me from being who I was meant to be. Because I was looking for myself in the wrong direction.

Having had to start from scratch again: from rock bottom, both emotionally and financially was my turning point, to actually truly find myself and to stop believing the lies about myself.
