And one chart from that report is something every fresher and early-career professional should see.

Here’s what the chart shows:

• Blue represents what AI could theoretically do in each job category
• Red represents what people are actually using AI for right now
• The scale goes from 0% to 100% capability

The surprising part?

The gap is huge.

Across almost every category, AI capability is far ahead of AI adoption.

Examples from the report:

• Business and Finance → up to 80–100% theoretical AI capability
• Computer and Math roles → extremely high AI coverage potential
• Legal and Management → AI could theoretically handle a large share of tasks

But real-world usage today is still much lower:

• Most industries are only using 20–35% of AI’s potential

That gap matters.

It means the biggest disruption hasn’t fully happened yet.

So what does this mean for students and freshers?

There are two paths many experts are discussing:

• Learn to work with AI and increase your leverage
• Or move toward roles where AI automation is harder, especially physical-world jobs

Examples include:

• Electricians
• Construction and skilled trades
• Healthcare and hands-on services

These fields are far harder to automate compared to purely digital tasks.

And there’s absolutely no shame in choosing them.

The real takeaway:

AI isn’t replacing everything overnight.
But the direction of change is already visible.
