Out in the middle of the Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge, a barren, lifeless Christian camp lies baking in the desert sun. What happened is a thorny tale of water rights: a previous landowner had diverted a natural stream to irrigate the property, but now the biologists at Ash Meadows have restored the spring to its original course...leaving the Patch of Heaven camp high and very dry.
