Get Vocal For Victims

On April 27, a fundraiser was held in Pleasant Hill for Get Vocal For Victims in Contra Costa which helps provide legal resources to victims of crime. In the video, Beverly Dukes Brown, a former officer with the Oakland Police Department is now a victim advocate and serves as the Secretary on the Board of Directors for getVocal.

Get Vocal for Victims was created by experienced prosecutors and victim advocates to give true meaning to crime victim’s rights by providing fee-free legal representation to crime victims, the only non-profit organization to do so in Contra Costa County.

How it works: getVOCAL for Victims partners with volunteer attorneys to provide crime victims with legal representation throughout a criminal prosecution.

getVOCAL for Victims volunteer attorneys are members of civil law firms, as well as private practitioners, interested in dedicating their pro bono services to advocating for the rights of crime victims.
