Unbelievable Grand Canyon Viewpoint | Guano Point at Grand Canyon West

From our last video at the Skywalk at Eagle Point, we continue on to another part of the canyon with free shuttle transportation provided by Grand Canyon West. (Watch the Skywalk vlog here if you missed it: https://youtu.be/KKnMdcvoomw)

Guano Point is an exhilarating overlook at the Grand Canyon that not many know about, but one definitely worth visiting. It’s one of the few easily accessible places at the top of the rim where you can get absolutely clear, unobstructed views of the West Rim for as far as your eye can see.

At Guano Point, you’re standing approximately 4,500 feet above the canyon floor. Along with the panoramic sights, you also get a gorgeous snapshot of the mighty Colorado River. There is a moderate trail known as Highpoint Hike that you can take over to a popular anthill-shaped rock formation, one many visitors enjoy taking on the challenge of climbing. Continue on the trail and you’ll find an abandoned cable house from a mine in the 1930’s.

Guano Point also offers conveniences such as restrooms, the Guano Café, and a covered picnic area, where you can enjoy a light meal while taking in the breathtaking sights of the Grand Canyon.

Note: The West Rim of the Grand Canyon is located right off the Nevada/Arizona border. It’s important to note the West Rim is Hualapai Indian Tribal territory. Grand Canyon West is NOT a part of Grand Canyon National Park.
