Ferry Pole

Here is a short video of a ferry or flatboat pole I found a bit ago. This is a very unusual find as it's probably 100-200 years old but the wood has been preserved because it was under a deep sandbank. The iron tip was pushed into the river bottom and with muscle, a person would push upon the pole to move a boat up or downriver.
