Jaywick 1962 | 8mm Found Footage Music Video

Music & video by Matthew Greasley, featuring found cine-film footage of a family holiday in Jaywick, Essex dating from 1962. It's now got a reputation as one of Britain's most deprived areas but this video dates from when it was a popular holiday destination.

Background to the video: Whilst taking a look around Castle Road Bargain Alley (http://www.castleroadbargainalley.co.uk) I noticed an old shoebox on the floor. Inside were a collection of 8mm home movies from the 1960s. I was intrigued by the titles, so I bought them and had the footage digitized. I've used these videos as inspiration for making some music, hope you enjoy the results!
