Written during the conflict in Northern Ireland, this song questions the cost of violence and what is gained when people choose sides and go to war. While it comes from a specific place and time, I've always felt the questions it asks are much bigger than that.

I've also always loved the opening line, "I don't know how to begin..." Back when I was playing solo acoustic shows, I would often start with this song because that line felt like an honest admission that I wasn't entirely sure where to begin the show either.

This version is built from two acoustic guitar parts and a vocal, while trying to keep the spirit of the original intact.
