Kung Fu Panda 2 is a 2011 American computer-animated wuxia comedy-drama film produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Paramount Pictures. The sequel to 2008's Kung Fu Panda, it is the second installment in the Kung Fu Panda franchise and was directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson in her directorial debut. The film stars Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, David Cross, James Hong, and Jackie Chan reprising their character roles from the first film, with Gary Oldman, Michelle Yeoh, Danny McBride, Dennis Haysbert, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Victor Garber voicing new characters. In the film, Po and the Furious Five battle an evil white peacock ruler named Lord Shen who has a powerful weapon that he plans to use to conquer China. Meanwhile, Po discovers a terrifying secret about his past and discovers that Shen may have something to do with it. Compared to its predecessor, Kung Fu Panda 2 employs a much darker tone paired with a far more threatening antagonist in the form of Lord Shen and tackles more difficult and complex themes, such as adoption.

The film was released in theaters on May 26, 2011 in Real D 3D and Digital 3D formats. Like its predecessor, Kung Fu Panda 2 received generally positive reviews, with critics praising its animation, voice acting, action scenes, musical score and character development and grossed $665 million worldwide against its $150 million budget. The film was the highest-grossing animated feature film of the year and was nominated for the 2011 Academy Award for Best Animated Feature at the 84th Academy Awards, losing to Rango. It was followed by Kung Fu Panda 3 in 2016.

Thomas Jacob "Jack" Black is an American actor, comedian, singer, songwriter, and YouTube personality. He is known for his roles in films such as High Fidelity (2000), Shallow Hal (2001), School of Rock (2003), King Kong (2005), Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny (2006), The Holiday (2006), the Kung Fu Panda franchise (2008–2016), Tropic Thunder (2008), Gulliver's Travels (2010), Bernie (2011), Goosebumps (2015), Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) and its sequel, Jumanji: The Next Level (2019). For his work in School of Rock and Bernie, he gained Golden Globe nominations. He was inducted into Hollywood's Walk of Fame in 2018.

Outside of acting, Black is the lead vocalist of the Grammy Award-winning comedic rock duo Tenacious D, which he formed in 1994 with Kyle Gass. They have released the albums Tenacious D, The Pick of Destiny, Rize of the Fenix, and Post-Apocalypto. In December 2018, Black launched his YouTube channel Jablinski Games.

Jablinski Games was very well received, despite him being a previously well-known celebrity, which is not well-received by the regular YouTube audience due to how "polished" their content seems to be. However, Jablinski approached YouTube in a fun, rookie, and light-hearted fashion, with his first video referencing PewDiePie, Sans, and other memes, without seeming forced.

Despite his channel's name, most of the content Black puts out is not considered traditional gaming, but a mix of vlogging, fake beef with Ninja, apologizing for the Elgato being broken or not working (a running gag within his channel), and playing with pinball machines and old arcade games.

He made his first YouTube "film" called Area 52, based on the Area 51 raid on September 20, 2019 (the day that the Area 51 raid started).
