Is Jesus God? #apologetics #theology

In Matthew 28:16-20, we read about the Great Commission. This is where the resurrected Jesus appeared to disciples in Galilee and He commanded them to go make disciples of all nations. And if you read this short passage carefully, you’ll find at least six ways that Jesus presupposes His own divinity. First, His disciples worshiped Him, and he didn’t rebuke them for the idolatry of worshiping someone other than God. Second, He claimed all authority in Heaven and Earth was his. Third, He commanded new disciples be baptized in His name. Fourth, He made Himself (the Son) equal to the Father and the Holy Spirit. Fifth, He said “teach them to observe all that I have commanded you,” not all that God or the Torah commands. And sixth, He claimed to be omnipresent and everlasting by declaring “I am with you always, to the end of the age.” So, yes, Jesus taught that He was divine.
