EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT COWASHING NATURAL HAIR

HEY GIRL HEY!

Cowashing is one of those things that you either do... or don't. Yes, it can cause a variety of problems such as itchy and/or flaky scalp, dry hair, breakage, weighed down hair, lack of lustre, inability to retain length etc. Trust me, it may take a while for symptoms to arise but they will come eventually, depending on how much oils and butter you use.

The solution is to cowash and clean your hair and scalp with shampoos properly as well. Even if you clarify once in a while, it is essential to have a clean environment for your hair to grow in. I personally cowash for moisture only. So when I need to infuse some water into my hair - but I know I will be pushing my wash day routine, then I will cowash. I don't do it as often as I used to, though - I have a few tricks on my sleeve when it comes to moisturizing my hair, and cowashing is one of them.
