Sony Walkman NW-A105 Review: Just Short of the Sweet Spot

The Sony Walkman NW-A105 is a great music player on overall terms. The goodness of Android means it is now a multi-tasking entertainment device that also lets you watch videos and read your ebooks too, if you want. The shape is typical of recent Walkman devices, and overall ergonomics are great. Overall audio playback performance is also quite good — the enhancements actually make a significant difference and as an upscale, high resolution player, it more than does its job. The premium interface and microSD card support further strengthen its case. However, it misses out on a 2.5mm balanced port that is key for audiophiles, which makes it a baffling device to recommend for everyone. The interface is also slightly laggy, and at Rs 25,990, the Sony Walkman NW-A105 is great for enthusiasts and hobbyists, but falls just short for pleasing audiophiles.
