IL-2 1946: B-17 Combat Wings attacked by Luftwaffe Fighters

Two B-17 Combat Wings are attacked by Fishyyy & Roberth while on their way to Bremen.

This is a dogfight mission, which allowed us to respawn. This way there were no AI attackers, which leads to more interesting attacks and less AI Bomber crashes. Example: When a #5 gets shot down, #6, #7 and #8 crash into #2, #3 and #4. We deliberately did not shoot at #1s, #5s or #9s in order to make the bombers not crash. Take all numbers with a grain of salt, it's hard to tell what was exactly going on.

At the beginning of the mission there were 120 B-17s. All german fighters were flown by me and Roberth and we managed to execute about 60 attacks. At the end of the mission a total of 99 bombers were going home. I got 15 confirmed kills. Roberth got four kills, three of which are confirmed by the video. I saw one mid air collision between B-17s, which caused one of them to crash. I also saw one B-17 receiving fatal damage by FLAK to its fuel tank. It is unknown if this B-17 crashed from the fuel leak or if one of us downed it later. This leaves one or two B-17s to unknown fates.

Luftwaffe losses:
I ejected at least three times and Roberth two times, also Roberth died three times. We lost at least eight planes, my estimate is that we lost about 10 planes.

Conclusion:
The Fw-190 and Bf-110 attacks look devastating, but we also took heavy fire.
I think the final score is roughly: 20:10.
